In Yunior Hurtado’s work, figurative painting becomes a space for reflection on the human condition. His compositions present characters suspended in moments of introspection, where identity, personal will, and the decisions that shape individual destiny emerge as central themes. Through a visual language rich in symbolism and a disciplined painterly technique, Hurtado constructs images that invite viewers to pause and contemplate. Within them resonates a philosophical tradition that echoes Friedrich Nietzsche’s idea that “he who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” In this sense, each painting becomes a visual meditation on freedom, responsibility, and the ongoing process of becoming oneself.
